Institute of Engineering

Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering offers Quality Engineering education to thousand of young, enthusiastic students every year. If you want to become an Engineer and serve the world, IOE could be a good platform for you to start from. IOE consists of four Constituent and ten Affiliated colleges all over Nepal which provide education over ten different faculties of bachelor’s in engineering education which are as described below.

Bachelor’s in agricultural engineering

Agricultural engineering is the engineering discipline that studies quality production and processing of agricultural products. Agricultural engineering combines mechanical, civil, electrical and chemical engineering principles with a knowledge of agricultural principles according to technological principles. For an Agricultural and developing country like Nepal, Agricltural Engineering paves the future of country. If you want to become an Agricultural Engineer and change the world by Agricultural revolution, it might be the perfect place to start. Only Purwanchal Campus, Dharan provides Bachelor’s in Agricultural Engineering under TU, IOE. Recently, Rampur Campus of Chitwan has started Bachelor’s Degree In agricultural Engineering.

Bachelor’s in Geomatics Engineering

Geomatics engineering, also known as surveying engineering or geospatial science, is the discipline of gathering, storing, processing, and delivering geographic information or spatially referenced information. In other words, In the common sense, A Geomatics Engineer is the one surveying the lands for structures and roads and designs the development plan of society. The beautiful city, Pokhara invites you if you want to become a geomatics engineer as only Paschimanchal Campus (WRC), Pokhara provides education in Bachelor’s in Geomatics Engineering in Nepal.

Bachelor’s in industrial engineering

Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with the working with complex processes, systems, or organizations to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value inside an industry.. Basically, Industrial Engineering deals with creating engineering processes and services that improve quality and productivity of an Industry. Thapathali Campus, Kathmandu provides education on Indutrial Engineering under TU, IOE.

Bachelor’s in Automobile Engineering

Automobile Engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing and operating automobiles. In a broader sense, Automobile Engineering is the discipline of vehicle Engineering which deals with design and manufacturing everyone’s favorite motorbikes, cars, jeeps, buses and so on used for transportation. If your dream revolves around the steering wheels along with engineering, Automobile Engineering will be the perfect place to go. Thapathali Campus offers bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering in Nepal under IOE.

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering, the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. In Nepal, if your grandparents know an engineer, he/she is most probably a civil engineer. Thus, if your heart belongs to design and construction of buildings or roads or bridges or dams or so on, you should join Civil Engineering.

Every IOE affiliate and constituent colleges in Nepal offers bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Computer Engineering

Computer engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical, Electronics engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software. So, what happens inside a computer and how does it work is what a computer engineer deals with. Designing and developing software and applications on which the world runs is majorly linked with computer engineering. Also, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are also the scope of Computer Engineering. Thus, if you feel amused by the magical world of 0’s and 1’s, maybe your heart belongs to computer Engineering.

Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering

Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering mixes various aspects of Electronics, Communication, Computer and Electrical Engineering to provide education about Electronics and Communication Process {eg:VLSI(Very Large Scale Integration)Networking, Information means and protocols, Robotics etc.}. Thus, if you are interested in the tiny elements inside your mobile phones or other gadgets or in making the machinery as intelligent as you, this branch may be the one. Almost every constituent and affiliated colleges of IOE offer bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering.

Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering -IOE

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. So basically, the job of a mechanical engineer is to design and build machines and machinery equipment to make the world a better place. The four of the constituent colleges of IOE ie. Pulchowk, Thapathali, Purwanchal and Paschimanchal Campus offer the degree of Mechanical Engineering under IOE.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It deals with generation, transportation, storage and usage of electrical energy and power to make the world and our lives brighter. Total 7 colleges under IOE (3 constituent and 4 affiliated) colleges in Nepal offer bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering-IOE

Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace engineering has been introduced for the first time in Nepal at Pulchowk Campus, IOE since 2075. Aerospace engineering is one of the most sought courses in the world and now students in Nepal won’t have to go abroad to study aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering mainly deals with aircraft structural design and maintenance, aerodynamics, avionics, UAVs and so on. Introduction of new course does have challenges and we hope IOE is fully prepared to take on those challenges.

Bachelor’s in Architecture

Architecture is both the process and the product of planning and designing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. 5 colleges (3 constituent and 2 affiliated) under IOE offer bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

Bachelor’s in Architecture-IOE

Among all the Disciplines mentioned above, Purwanchal Campus (ERC) offers 7 of the courses ie. Bachelor’s in Agricultural Engineering (BAG), bachelor’s in civil engineering (BCE), bachelor’s in computer engineering (BCT), bachelor’s in Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering (BEI), bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (BME), bachelor’s in electrical engineering (BEL), and bachelor’s in architecture (BArch.).

So, if you are looking forward to pursuing a career in Engineering, Institute of Engineering welcomes you. Just be with the entrance exam and hop in the world of magic.
